It is that time of year again - another crop of students all shiny and new - getting ready to complete their last year of Grade school.
It is always an honour to work with a student whom I have had the privilege to photograph for a number of years - sometimes starting off in kindergarten! A few pointers for the soon to be Grad - You need to do a of prep work to help your final grad Photographs look the way you want them to....

Guys: you have the easy job - remember to shave and have your hair styled the way you want it to look, and wear a t-shirt. (The tux shirt and bowtie will go right over the t-shirt.) And the last thing is to remember you need to smile in a few of the poses! That way you have all the bases covered for the final selection.
Gals: PLEASE wear some makeup... the new trend appears not to wear makeup these days, which is A-Okay on a reg day, but coming into the studio means you will be going under lights and if you want your skin tone to look "normal", you need a shade darker applied to your complexion. (You do not have to go over board but you got to have some on!)
Yes - as well fuss with your hair all you want so the final photos will showcase exactly the look and style you are aiming for and remember you need to wear something V-cut to keep the neckline open so the gown can fit you properly. Wear a chain , a string of pearls or leave your neck open - it is your choice and just like the guys - you need to smile in a few poses as well .
Note - I offer casual sessions as well to the graduating grad - this form of photography is the opportunity to showcase your talents such as sports, music or an elegant shot in your prom attire - anything goes - a photo op to express yourself as a young individual. So give it some thought and touch base with me to discuss your ideas and than we can work together to create something unique !
